NIGERIAN CONTENT POLICY

Policy Statement

Marflo Marine Limited considers Nigerian Content an important feature of all its activities. To this end, Marflo seeks to encourage, promote and support the development of Nigerian manpower, acquisition of technology by Nigerian businesses and the deliberate creation of opportunities for Nigerian businesses to participate in all its activities.

It is Marflo Marine Limited's Nigerian Content Development Policy to comply with the Nigeria Content Directive of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on local content, materials, suppliers and manpower from Nigeria and to make use of services and facilities professional or otherwise which are rendered by Nigerians or companies incorporated in Nigeria, except when after proper research, such services/facilities are not available in Nigeria.

Policy Objectives

1. Development of Nigerian Manpower

To promote the development and employment of Nigerian manpower and encourage the deliberate use of Nigerian materials and services.

2. Participation of Nigerian Contractors

To maximize the participation of Nigerian Contractors in work contracted out by Marflo, consistent with the dictates of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act 2010 while maintaining Marflo standards in respect of Quality, HSE, Commerciality and Ethics.

3. Capacity Building

To support and encourage the development of Nigerian Contractors to enable them to achieve standards of excellence in their business.

4. Performance Monitoring

To monitor the performance of its contractors and to promote a long-term business relationship with top performing contractors.

5. In-Country Operations

To fully comply with the NCD directive, Marflo Marine Limited shall domicile all maritime activities in-country as well as location of the Project Management Team (PTM) and Project Procurement Centre (PPC) in-country and carrying out in-country maintenance of tools and equipment.

6. Value Creation

Show commitment by deliberate addition or creation of value in-country via capacity building of locals, Technology transfer programs, Technology mentorship programs, increasing physical operational presence and investment in Nigeria, creating opportunities in human resources, development of Nigerian contractors and suppliers and implementing various innovation that will increase Nigerian content development in Nigeria.

Marflo Marine Limited is committed to:

Compliance and Enforcement

The enforcement of this policy shall be the responsibility of the Managing Director / Nigerian Content Coordinator. The Management, all and sundry shall work assiduously to abide by the above-mentioned policy and improve in our key performance indicators.
